Meditation

What is Meditation?

Meditation is the art of breaking habits, purifying the mind, and taking care of day-to-day things. How do you meditate? It’s a very simple process. Most of the people in the world do not know what meditation is.

The mind is beyond time and space. It is part of the Universal Mind. It is given to you as an instrument to serve you. What happened? It became your master; you became the servant. The mind becomes a monster when it becomes your master. The mind is an angel when it is your servant. And it is all in your mind.

This procedure of cleansing the mind, or not dumping a lot of thoughts in your subconscious mind, is called meditation.

What Are the Benefits of Meditation?

As many studies show, a regular meditation practice offers numerous health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, strengthening the immune system, and releasing stress and fatigue. In fact, meditating for half an hour provides more psychological rest than a full night’s sleep. As you meditate on a regular basis, you will notice an increased sense of well-being as well as greater energy and creativity.

Today doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major contributing factor to most illnesses. Even though meditation should not be considered a cure by itself, research has shown it to be beneficial for a wide range of health problems. As stress is greatly eliminated through Meditation, our minds and bodies begin to function with maximum effectiveness, creating health, vitality, and happiness.

Practicing Meditation on a daily basis can help you to:

  • Manage stress
  • Reduce anxiety
  • Improve your relationships
  • Create inner peace
  • Awaken your intuition
  • Lower your blood pressure
  • Become less judgmental
  • Connect to spirit
  • Enhance your sleep patterns

I am certified meditation educator and have been teaching meditation to people all over the world for over 20 years.

I have found that the whatever meditation is correct for you is the right one for you. There are several types of meditation, we are all unique, so it is important to find the one that works for you.

* Workshop – The Meditation Sampler – I teach a basics course in meditation which is a course that demonstrates many types of meditations… Visit this course if you are new to meditation or just in the mood to explore different types of meditation. This workshop can be short at 1 hour to a workshop or retreat for half day, full day, weekend, or three-day weekend.

Workshop or Class Meditation in the line of Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan. This is typically a mantra and pranayama (breath) meditation.A Sanskrit term that translates as “vehicle of the mind,” a mantra truly is a vehicle that takes you into quieter, more peaceful levels of the mind.

Course – Primordial Sound Meditation – a powerful meditation technique rooted in the Vedic tradition of India. Chopra Center co-founders Deepak Chopra and David Simon have revived this ancient practice of sound meditation and made it available in a format that’s easy to learn.

When you learn Primordial Sound Meditation, you will receive a personal mantra. A mantra is a specific sound or vibration—which when repeated silently—helps you to enter deeper levels of awareness.

The mantra you will receive is the vibration the universe was creating at the time and place of your birth, and it is calculated following Vedic mathematic formulas. When you silently repeat your mantra in meditation, it creates a vibration that helps you slip into the space between your thoughts, into the complete silence that is sometimes referred to as “the gap.” Your mind is no longer caught up in its noisy internal chatter and is instead exposed to its own deepest nature: pure awareness.
